Flood

The Ouse, wider than normal

Hello,

Not a blog post about Take That’s ‘Flood’ but a blog post about York’s Flood. The River Ouse (York’s major river) rose to 5.7m above it’s summer average meaning on the river front it rose about the first story of any pub or restaurant.

Soon a massive clean up oppoeration will start to return York to normal, my local park said once the flood moves on it will take 3-4 weeks to get the park back to normal again. So as you look at these images as breath taking as they are, spare a thought for the business’ that won’t be opening for some time.
